Grand Opening of the Burgess Arboretum October, 3, 2009
This was the Grand opening of the Burgess Arboretum with almost 200 people in attendance on a bright sunny day. We had a tree planting, plant walk thru the most noble trees and shrubs plant walk in the Burgess Arboretum and it was declared by the Board of Comissioners in Cherokee county as October,3, 2009 as Burgess Arboretum day in Cherokee County

- This Blog is a record of the Restoration of the Burgess Arboretum at Reinhardt University. The Burgess Arboretum was built by former Reinhardt President Dr. James Roland Burgess. This is a project to restore and modernize the arboretum for educating the North Georgia community on the Horticulture gem of trees, shrubs and groundcover on the Reinhardt campus grounds. The Project is a team project with the Master Gardeners of Cherokee County, Georgia the Cherokee County Extension Service and Reinhardt Faculty and staff.
